Senior Laravel and WordPress Developer - Linux

A2 Hosting is currently looking for a Senior Laravel and WordPress Developer with over 5 years of experience. This role requires building and troubleshooting web applications using both WordPress and Laravel in a Linux environment. Candidates must have strong DevOps skills and deep knowledge of WordPress hooks, plugins, and WP-CLI.
With a focus on our custom control panel, TurboHub, the role also involves working with modern JavaScript frameworks like Vue and managing Linux servers.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Software Development and Product teams to build and maintain features in TurboHub.
Participate in escalated troubleshooting in a 24/7 environment, including an on-call rotation.
Create and update documentation of deployed systems, troubleshooting processes, and infrastructure design.
Provide guidance and consultation on internal projects and company priorities.
Requirements
5+ years developing production quality web applications using WordPress/WP-CLI, Laravel, and Vue/React.
Experience working with WP-CLI and building custom commands.
Experience writing custom WordPress plugins and understanding WordPress options, filters, and actions.
5+ years of experience with Linux Systems Administration.
High DevOps proficiency in building, maintaining, and troubleshooting WordPress and Laravel web applications in a Linux/command line environment.
Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
Experience with front-end frameworks such as Vue or React.
Experience with message queues (e.g., Laravel Queues, RabbitMQ, ActiveJob).
Experience with unit testing and testing methodologies like test-driven development, behavior-driven development, etc.
Ability to QA your work with an eye for applying the Product team’s designs during implementation.
Experience profiling and benchmarking web and CLI applications.
Experience working in a fully remote and globally distributed team is a plus.
Experience in a Hosting or similar Technology company is a plus.
